Which data we process, and why.

About our privacy policy

Schreuder E-Commerce BV cares a great deal about your privacy. We therefore only process data that we need for (improving) our services and handle the information we have collected about you and your use of our services with care. We never make your data available to third parties for commercial purposes.
This privacy policy applies to the use of the website and the services offered on it by Schreuder E-Commerce BV. The effective date of these terms is 25/05/2018; when a new version is published, all previous versions become void. This privacy policy describes what data about you we collect, what this data is used for, and with whom and under what conditions this data may be shared with third parties. We also explain how we store your data and how we protect your data against misuse, and what rights you have with

About data processing

Below you can read how we process your data, where we store it (or have it stored), what security techniques we use, and who has access to the data.

Web shop software

FEDON

Our web shop was developed using software from FEDON. Personal data that you provide to us for our services is shared with this party. FEDON has access to your data in order to provide us with (technical) support; they will never use your data for any other purpose. Under the agreement we have concluded with them, FEDON is required to take appropriate security measures. These security measures consist of the application of SSL encryption and a strong password policy. FEDON does not use cookies to collect technical information regarding your use of the software, so no personal data is collected and/or stored by means of cookies.

Web hosting

FEDON

We use web hosting services from FEDON. FEDON processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. FEDON has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. FEDON is bound by a confidentiality obligation under the agreement.

Microsoft Office 365

We use Microsoft Office 365 services for our regular business email traffic. This party has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent misuse, loss and corruption of your and our data as much as possible. Microsoft Office 365 does not have access to our mailbox, and we treat all our email traffic confidentially.

Support via chat

Smartsupp chat

We use chat services from Smartsupp chat. Smartsupp chat processes personal data on our behalf and does not use your data for its own purposes. However, this party may collect metadata about the use of the services. This is not personal data. Smartsupp chat has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to prevent loss and unauthorised use of your personal data. Smartsupp chat is bound by a confidentiality obligation under the agreement.

Payment processors

Rabo Omnikassa

For the processing of (part of) the payments in our web shop, we use the platform of Rabo Omnikassa. Rabo Omnikassa processes your name, address and place of residence, and your payment details such as your bank account or credit card number. Rabo Omnikassa has taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. Rabo Omnikassa reserves the right to use your data to further improve its services and, in that context, to share (anonymised) data with third parties. In the case of a request for deferred payment
(credit facility), Rabo Omnikassa shares personal data and information regarding your financial position with credit assessors.
All of the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of Rabo Omnikassa's services for which they engage third parties. Rabo Omnikassa does not retain your data longer than permitted by the applicable statutory periods.

Reviews

WebwinkelKeur

We collect reviews via the WebwinkelKeur platform. If you leave a review via WebwinkelKeur, you are required to provide a name and email address. WebwinkelKeur shares this data with us so that we can link the review to your order. WebwinkelKeur also publishes your name on its own website. In some cases, WebwinkelKeur may contact you to ask for clarification on your review. In the event that we invite you to leave a review, we share your name and email address with WebwinkelKeur. They use this data solely for the purpose of inviting you to leave a review. WebwinkelKeur has
taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data. WebwinkelKeur reserves the right to engage third parties to provide its services, for which we have given WebwinkelKeur permission. All of the safeguards mentioned above regarding the protection of your personal data also apply to the parts of the service for which WebwinkelKeur engages third parties.

Shipping and logistics

PostNL

When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your parcel delivered to you. We use the services of PostNL to carry out deliveries. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address and place of residence with PostNL. PostNL only uses this data for carrying out the agreement. If PostNL engages subcontractors, PostNL also makes your data available to these parties.

GLS

When you place an order with us, it is our task to have your parcel delivered to you. We use the services of GLS to carry out deliveries. It is therefore necessary for us to share your name, address and place of residence with GLS. GLS only uses this data for carrying out the agreement. If GLS engages subcontractors, GLS also makes your data available to these parties.

Invoicing and accounting

For keeping our records and accounting, we use the services of Unit4. We share your name, address and place of residence, and details regarding your order. Marktplaats.nl

We sell (part of) our products via the Marktplaats.nl platform. If you place an order via this platform, Marktplaats.nl shares your order and personal data with us. We use this data to process your order. We treat your data confidentially and have taken appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss and unauthorised use.

Purpose of data processing

General purpose of the processing

We use your data solely for the purpose of our services. This means that the purpose of the processing is always directly related to the order you place. We do not use your data for (targeted) marketing. If you share data with us and we use this data to contact you at a later time - other than at your request - we will ask your explicit consent to do so. Your data is not shared with third parties, other than to comply with accounting and other administrative obligations. All of these third parties are bound by confidentiality on the basis of the agreement between them and us, or an oath or statutory obligation.

Automatically collected data

Data that is automatically collected by our website is processed with the aim of further improving our services. This data (such as your IP address, web browser and operating system) is not personal data.

Cooperation with fiscal and criminal investigations

In certain cases, Schreuder E-Commerce BV may be required by law to share your data in connection with a fiscal or criminal investigation by the government. In such a case, we are obliged to share your data, but we will oppose this to the extent permitted by law.

Retention periods

We retain your data for as long as you are a customer of ours. This means that we keep your customer profile until you indicate that you no longer wish to use our services. If you inform us of this, we will also treat this as a request to be forgotten. Under applicable administrative obligations, we are required to retain invoices containing your (personal) data; we will therefore retain this data for as long as the applicable period runs. However, staff no longer have access to your customer profile and the documents we have produced as a result of your order.

Your rights

Under applicable Dutch and European legislation, you as a data subject have certain rights with regard to the personal data processed by or on behalf of us. Below we explain what these rights are and how you can exercise them.

In principle, to prevent misuse, we only send copies and duplicates of your data to the email address already known to us. If you wish to receive the data at a different email address or, for example, by post, we will ask you to identify yourself. We keep a record of requests that have been handled; in the case of a request to be forgotten, we record anonymised data. You will receive all copies and duplicates of data in the machine-readable data format that we use within our systems.

You always have the right to file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) if you suspect that we are using your personal data incorrectly.

Right of access

You always have the right to view the data we process (or have processed) that relates to you or is traceable to you. You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send a copy of all data to the email address known to us, along with an overview of the processors that hold this data, stating the category under which we have stored this data.

You can submit a request to that effect to our privacy officer. You will then receive a response to your request within 30 days. If your request is granted, we will send copies or duplicates of all data about you that we have processed, or that has been processed by other processors or third parties on our behalf, to the email address known to us. In all likelihood, in such a case we will no longer be able to continue providing our services, as the secure linking of data files can no longer be guaranteed.

Right to object and other rights

In certain cases, you have the right to object to the processing of your personal data by or on behalf of Schreuder E-Commerce BV. If you object, we will immediately halt the data processing pending the handling of your objection. If your objection is found to be justified, we will make copies and/or duplicates of the data we process (or have processed) available to you and will then permanently halt the processing.

You also have the right not to be subjected to automated individual decision-making or profiling. We do not process your data in such a way that this right applies. If you believe this is the case, please contact our privacy officer.

Cookies

Google Analytics

Cookies from the American company Google are placed via our website, as part of the “Analytics” service. We use this service to keep track of and receive reports on how visitors use the website. This processor may be required by applicable laws and regulations to provide access to this data. We have not allowed Google to use the analytics information obtained for other Google services. These are functional cookies, so no prior consent is required for them. Furthermore, we have set or agreed to the following with Google Analytics:

  • We use Google Analytics cookies;
  • We have concluded a data processing agreement with Google;
  • We have masked the last octet of the IP address;
  • We have turned off 'data sharing';
  • We do not use other Google services in combination with the Google Analytics cookies.

Changes to the privacy policy

We reserve the right at all times to change our privacy policy. However, you will always find the most recent version on this page. If the new privacy policy has consequences for the way in which we process data already collected about you, we will inform you of this by email.
